Handling the care of an elderly relative from a distance–in my case, from another country–is a significant challenge fraught with obstacles, including my loved one’s dementia and insistence on living in her own home. Managing an eventual move to assisted living, dealing with health crisis and insurance issues, Mary Jo has moved mountains.
She stays in regular contact with me, providing comprehensive updates and offering the wisdom of her experience and knowledge in the decision-making process. Her presence and uncommon devotion have given me tremendous piece of mind between visits. I don’t know what we would have done without her.
